Environmentally Sensitive Design

Water Conservation
Any great landscape design in San Diego County will maximize water conservation.  Clients who work with Krista do not have to compromise style to achieve both a beautiful and responsible design.  Krista’s knowledge of a wide range of different plants from around the world as well as her knowledge of proper garden installation and water conservation give her clients a result they can both feel good about and enjoy.

Other Ways to Go Green
In addition to water conservation, Krista strives to integrate earth-friendly products and techniques into her designs.  Krista helps her clients wean their landscapes from polluting mowers and blowers, inorganic chemical fertilizers, and impermeable surfaces which do not capture our precious little precipitation.  She has also certified many residential gardens as Backyard Wildlife Habitats with the National Wildlife Federation.

Krista likes to use local and recycled materials, native California plants, solar powered LED lighting and good old-fashioned compost in her gardens.  She spends her spare time experimenting with sustainable products and gardening techniques in her own half-acre garden in Solana Beach.
